I have just spent 3 days working on the locos for Die Keinnamebahn. Exhibition running after a 2 year storage certainly shows up any problems with your stock. After our Cromford show I have now serviced 24 locos and recalibrated them to a scale 25mph top speed to work on a DCC track voltage of 12 volts rather than the 14v the Z21 DCC controller defaulted to. A clean and very gentle oiling has improved the running and all the locos have been rerun in on my test track. I also took the opportunity to prepare indexed stock boxes to aid in repacking the locos and rolling stock after a show. I now use the 4 litre Really Useful plastic boxes from Rymans and fit them with foam liners.
